Successful testing of their Actor/Roles profiles at the 2010 North America IHE Connectathon. This included testing the Document Source/Document Consumer actors for the Cross-Enterprise Clinical Documents Share (XDS.b) profile as well as the Imaging Document Source/Imaging Document Consumer actors for the new Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing for Imaging (XDS-I.b) profile. The systems integration testing was with over 20 health IT suppliers. As the largest centralized image-enabled health information exchange (HIE), this validation underscores the readiness of InSite One’s data exchange. By incorporating these IHE elements into the InDex services, InSite One goes beyond vendor-neutral digital storage and business continuance to provide secure methods for sharing of information across the enterprise, into the EMR and beyond.
“The fact that InSite One successfully tested the new XDS-I.b standard demonstrates the positive impact IHE has on interoperability.” comments Robert Porper, Senior Vice President of Product Development at InSite One, Inc. “Many of InSite One’s tests during this effort required standards-based integration of four disparate systems from four different organizations. Even with this level of complexity, we were able to demonstrate working together flawlessly,” Mr. Porper concluded.
The annual IHE Connectathon promotes the adoption of IHE standards-based interoperability systems in commercially available health IT systems. The Connectathon serves as an industry-wide testing event where participants can test their systems with industry suppliers of health information technology. During the Connectathon, systems exchange information with complementary systems from multiple suppliers, performing all of the transactions required for the roles they have selected, called IHE Actors, in support of defined clinical use cases, called IHE Profiles. This year participants numbered 104 companies with over 150 health IT systems conducting 3,640 tests.
InSite One successfully passed IHE profiles listed in the IHE Conformance Statement: http://insiteone.com/why-dicom.php.
